The crime scene suggests that this Orthodox Jew may have been a victim of the Golem, a mythical clay creature obeying the orders of its creator. This directs the investigation towards an artificial intelligence project with disturbing realism. While their first suspect sinks into madness, Astrid and Raphaëlle will discover that taking oneself for God is never without consequences.

At an auction, the auctioneer presents a precious ancient manuscript, the Corpus Hermeticum, before having a fit of delirium and then collapsing, dead. Apparently, he was poisoned, and in panic, the priceless book was replaced by a fake. Astrid and Raphaëlle will be interested in this object that would contain absolute knowledge and that arouses the wildest desires.

An armed woman enters the criminal documentation and takes everyone hostage. Accused of killing her godfather to Alcoholics Anonymous, she absolutely wants to prove her innocence.
